Vocal Mamata Banerjee and political rivalries

Mamata Banerjee’s traditional political rivalries against CPM has become a myth. She used to bring dead bodies from the districts to Kolkata for earning public sympathy against the brutality of CPM. Even today, when CPM has been continuously struggling for a foothold, she takes on Bikash Bhattacharya as he is instrumental to expose the corruptions in various court proceedings.

Now BJP, the central government and central deprivation have been the prime targets of her accusations. So, her followers always attempt valiantly to refer the mishaps of CPM regime or the problems of the BJP-governed states.

After all, they need to toe to the party line, as Trinamool is a one-woman army, who always oppresses descent.

Arunava Ghosh, the famous lawyer, has remarkably quoted there is only one post and all others are lampposts. The reality seems to be that not even a leaf moves without her consent. If the focal point remains on criticism of opponent, the priority of good governance is forced to take the backseat. That is the reason of the continuous anarchy in the state.

Vocal Mamata Banerjee against the central Government

For example, in November 2025, she led a large rally against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. She claimed it as a ploy by the BJP to disenfranchise the voters. Vocal Mamata Banerjee has gone up to the level of blaming SIR as BJP’s venomous propaganda.

Such vivid political rivalries often arisen political slugfests. Whether it is a political violence or communal tensions, she is always in the habit of shifting the blame. That’s how she gets charged up and draws public sympathy.

She simply shifts the blame to the center or its organization like CBI, ED,  DVC or Farakka Barrage Project authorities even for any sort of natural disaster like flood. In the recent north Bengal flood, she has even demanded compensation from the Bhutan Government.

She had come down to the street for protest against center and central agencies even after occupying the chair of the Chief Minister. She has attacked judiciaries several times and off late even the Election Commission has not gone beyond her lists of fictional adversaries. Rather she converts everyone as her political rivalries.

The financial deprive has become a myth, though she never accepts that her government failed to submit the Action Taken Reports.

She has been maintaining a hot and cold relations with her nephew Abhishek. Whenever she feels that Abhishek is going beyond her control, she starts curbing his wings.  Her such fearless attempt to galvanize public support has earned political dividend till now.

Advices to Controversies

Her indiscriminate talk and the intention of remaining popular to the favorite channels or news media often invites issues. Like in October 2025 an unfortunate case had taken places in Durgapur Medical colleges.

Her advice for the girls’ students not to venture out at night, sparked an acrimonious debate.

Similarly, her couple of remarks and advisories regarding the restriction of Girls in duty hours drawn worst criticism and backlashes. Still, she remains unaltered.

That’s how West Bengal has turned to a loan-driven and subsidy-driven states without any proper development or planning. The people have been made reliant on handouts because of unemployment and poverty. The state has not witnessed any industry and even the government jobs have been continuously shrinking.

Ever Vocal Mamata Banerjee may reap the benefits in the ballot boxes, but the future of West Bengal is precarious.
