Muslim Immigration from West Bengal of Mamata Banerjee

Mass Immigration to India

Research reports reveal people immigrate because of various reasons. We want to limit our discussions just to two prime reasons. While “better living” is one of them, the other is the “intense feeling of insecurity” that compel many to immigrate. India has been facing such exodus of inbound mass immigration since the independence.

People, basically Hindus, started leaving Bangladesh for shelter in a Hindu dominated nation, India. Mass Immigration to West Bengal has become a routine affair which historically used to watch Hindu immigration. The majesty of Mamata Banerjee has offered a congenial environment for Muslim immigration also.

Punjab was divided in a more systematic and planned manner. In contrast, Radcliff’s hurried attempt to draw the line without a proper map created an unending flow of mass immigration.

It has a terrible impact on all border areas. But West Bengal’s 2,216.7 km stretch of border has made the situation even more complicated. Notably, approximately 405 km border remains porous or unfenced.

Hindu Immigration in West Bengal

As East Pakistan was a Muslim country, the large-scale Hindu mass immigration to West Bengal took places because of torture and fear. The Hindu Community certainly didn’t want to leave their homeland, but the situation compelled them.

There had been another influx in 1971 due to the torture of Khan Sena. The brutal military crackdown and atrocities of the West Pakistani forces compelled a wave of mass immigration to West Bengal. Even that was not the end.

The Bangladeshis come to India for better scope of medical treatment, education and even shopping. In fact, many leading hospitals in West Bengal and across India treat a steady stream of Bangladeshi patients.

Moreover, the economic condition of Bangladesh has reached the rock bottom. The country’s political turmoil, unemployment problem and skyrocketing inflation forces even Muslim immigration to West Bengal, causing Muslim immigration to West Bengal.

Unfortunately, the current scenario of West Bengal under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee is reminiscent of the typical Bangladesh pattern. So, the migration continues, either in legal or illegal ways.

Gracious West Bengal for Mass Immigration

Helpless Bangladeshis need to spend only ₹5,000 for immigration to West Bengal, so mass immigration continues.

West Bengal offers an welcoming environment for Muslim immigration under Mamata Banerjee. So, what are they waiting for? They rather feel happy when they start enjoying the social benefit schemes like free ration or Laxmir Bhandar or Swasthya Sathi cards. After all, Mamata Banerjee has provided a galaxy of freebies in West Bengal.

Notably, the police do nothing the moment they spot Fez hats. Perhaps they could not get a more conducive environment even in their homeland.

Mountbatten may have split the two Bengals in a hasty bid to etch his name in history.  But the emotional bond between them still endures, and it is hard to ignore.

We respect this enduring emotional bond, but West Bengal cannot absorb such a population exodus due to mass immigration.

The outbound migration of students and job seekers have reached the peak in the regime of Mamata Banerjee. Kolkata and most of the urban areas has virtually turned to old age home today.

Even the rule of the law has almost evaporated and the rulers have started framing the rules. Furthermore, the state has turned into a safe haven for terrorists and militants, thanks to the ruling establishment’s tacit encouragement. When the economic condition of a state becomes loan-driven, it’s impossible to provide hospitality to others, even Hindu Immigration.

Conclusion

The panic of the Special Intensive Revision has set off a wave of outbound migration. We hope the authorities will shake off their inertia and become active enough to stop this illegal infiltration. They should at least not disrupt the peace of the citizens here for the sake of the vote bank
