Army, IAF and NDRF rescues over 49,000 in Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir is battling one of the worst floods in decades with flooded rivers in the region causing havoc due to days of persistent rain. Over 200 people have been reported killed with thousands of others stranded across the state without even the most basic supply of drinking water. The massive round-the-clock rescue and relief operations are being hampered by the inclement weather with the distribution of relief material in full swing. Satellite images are showing clouds over Jammu & Kashmir that will bring more rain to the flooded areas of the state. Caroline Wozniacki the tennis star has bared the true facts leading to her unexpected split with fiancé golfer Rory McIlroy when they were on the verge of marriage. The 25 year old tennis player said that it took place days after their wedding invitations had been sent out. Suddenly McIlroy called to say that due to his problem he was breaking-up. Caroline Wozniacki claims that her boyfriend and future husband simply dumped her. She added that the golf ace had claimed that the sending out of wedding invitations had made him realize that he wasn’t ready for marriage yet. Jwala Gutta pulls out of Asian Games

It is a blow for the Indian contingent participating in the Asian Games later this month that ace Indian women’s doubles player Jwala Gutta has pulled out. She has done so after sustaining a sprain in the right knee ahead of the Asiad in Incheon, Korea. The World Championship bronze medalist, Jwala developed a pain in her right knee. She was advised complete rest for the next two weeks by her doctor. She had sprained her knee during practice for the Asian Games 2014. The knee had swollen and now needs to be rested for 10-12 days which left her no other option but to withdraw from the Asian Games. Jwala added that it was the first time that she had withdrawn from a tournament due to injury in her career. She has won gold and silver at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games respectively.
