Vice president Rahul Gandhi of Congress discomfited

It was quite an awkward situation for vice president Rahul Gandhi of the Congress party to face when the Sub Divisional Magistrate rejected his residence proof application in his parliamentary constituency of Amethi. Rahul has been the sitting Member of Parliament from the constituency for the last 10 years. The magistrate stated while dismissing the application that there is no proof which indicates that Rahul stays in Amethi or even occasionally in his constituency. Rahul is expected to be fighting a high voltage electoral battle with BJP’s Smriti Irani and AAP’s Kumar Viswas in the fray from Amethi. Amethi though considered a Congress family seat will witness a fascinating three-way contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls 2014. Vishwas a former poet with political ambitions is AAP’s candidate and has been extensively campaigning in Amethi while staying at there for the last few months. Smriti Irani presently a Rajya Sabha member is considered to be close to Narendra Modi and is counting on the Modi wave to give her chances to gain success in the contest this time around. Irani the BJP candidate from Amethi had lost the 2009 Lok Sabha polls to Kapil Sibal the Congress minister from the Chandni Chowk constituency in the national capital of...

Rahul motivates the Congress brigade

Rahul Gandhi addressed the AICC session in New Delhi yesterday after being formally announced the chief of the Congress election campaign. Rahul Gandhi took it upon himself to scorn Narendra Modi in particular and BJP in general for even suggesting that India should become Congress free. He reiterated that Indians have Congress at the core of their hearts and stamped upon them and such things cannot be erased to roaring applause from the gathering. He again pledged in front of the gathered crowd comprising of Congress workers that he was at the service of the Congress and is ready to shoulder any responsibility that would come his way. He also requested the PM to change hike the current status of the number of subsidized LPG cylinders from 9 to 12. It was sad to see Rahul up to the old antics that the party has been applying for many years to look at only the short term gains. The change in the number of LPG cylinders might bring in a lot of bouquets which the Congress is banking upon in these days when their popularity has really hit rock bottom. The truth about the fact is that the massive subsidy that has been announced is a huge burden on the Indian economy which is already flagging. When will these small term benefits from the Congress stop? Why is not Manmohan Singh looking into the state of the finance of the country and looking towards some long term policies even at this fag end of his term which will have a true bearing on the masses? Is the PM so taken by the warmth and praise showered upon him by Rahul Gandhi? Has he forgotten that he is in the first place is a true financial iconic figure in the wrap of a politician? Such questions will be raised and taken advantage of by their rivals as held up for review by the Indian public who have laid claim to a clean and good government. Indians are also looking forward to someone who can really forge development and raise the economic status of the country. The people of India want swift paced working government that can lead each of the citizens to a better future by looking to their welfare. These are valid demands of the Indian citizens which have been further fueled by BJP and their Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Next on the horizon are the miraculous AAP who have come to power in Delhi and looking to...

Manifesto 2014 of Rahul brigade

The dwindling century old party Congress has been desperately formulating newer strategies to signal the end of their lack-luster sojourn. While Congress had launched a special female forum a couple of days back, Rahul Gandhi has started a camp in the Bangalore palace garden to attract the youths. It is reported that the youth have already bent down on Narendra Modi, the poster boy of BJP. Such camps of the Congress may be termed as the counter program against the magnetization of Modi. Besides, Rahul Gandhi, a lot of ministers and top notch Congress leaders had been gracefully present in the said camp. It is also revealed that the recommendations will be added to the election manifesto of the Congress in the coming General Election 2014. Let us see, whether such initiatives can rejuvenate Congress in the long...

Rahul Gandhi in Ficci meeting

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has sold the dreams of superior UPA to the top industrialists at the 86th annual general meeting of Ficci. Perhaps the desperation of damage control and the earnest desire to confront the Modi-wave has prompted Rahul Gandhi to meet the Industry champions twice in the current year. The history unfolds that the slogan of superior left front had been coined first by late Jyoti Basu, followed by his successor Buddhadev Bhattacharya, but the left has been ousted from West Bengal today. The statements like “Can your Government listen to your statements” show that the slogan of enhanced UPA could not cut an ice in front of the highly eminent industrialists. Though Rahul Gandhi has admitted the pitfalls of the UPA government in combating the soaring prices or high level of corruption or even deadlock situation in employment, he tried to cleverly distant him from the ruling Government. We clearly recall the agile reactions of angry young Rahul Gandhi against the bill that attempted to protect the convicted politicians. The problem is that today’s generation is highly informed and even the most amateurish person is also aware that the Manmohan Singh Government is virtually dictated from 10, Janpath Road. The desperate attempts of Rahul Gandhi to isolate him from the Government activities seem to be a mockery only. Rahul Gandhi has clearly accepted that the party failed to do well in the recent polls, but he has intelligently reminded the party’s success in legitimating the lokpal bill as their mitigation plan. He has also quoted the triumph of food security bill. One industrialist retorted that today’s youth is not much interested in grants and aids. Rather, the globalization has given an enormous opportunity and most of the young people have become career aspirants. We can clearly recall that Manmohan Singh had played the pivotal role, whereby a sea change became visible in Indian economy during the process of globalization. Alas! India could not leapfrog even during the tenure of Manmohan Singh as the Prime Minister. No one better than Rahul Gandhi knew that he had to face the questions regarding the most controversial land acquisition laws. He had brought the reference of Tata episode in Singur and mentioned that the calamity was caused as the right industrial policies had not been in place at that time. The questions had been cleverly bypassed without any direct answers. Rahul has tried to draw the sympathies by stating that he realizes the problems of Industrialists and is willing...

Home Work for Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi

Narendra Modi, the poster boy of BJP and Rahul Gandhi, the man born with a golden spoon have been constantly hurling abuses on their respective rivals in the array of election campaigns in the wake of General election 2014, but we feel that both should refine their speeches. Here are some suggestions: Narendra Modi has been constantly selling his dreams of a developed India, but he merely highlights the BJP flag, which is necessary for any election. Rahul Gandhi has been always reinstating the contributions of his father and grandmother to fuel the sentiments of the electorates. Narendra Modi can take a lesson from any corporate conglomerate, where the process or the company comes ahead of any individual. Narendra Modi could learn a lesson from Greg Chappell and his regime in the Indian cricket firmament. Rahul Gandhi must learn that the people want to know about future India instead of listening to the same stories of Rajiv and Indira like a struck long playing record. When the crowd throngs in the meetings, they want to listen more from the leaders. Though Narendra Modi is in the habit of proffering long lectures, Rahul Gandhi seems to be satisfied in short and precise notations. Rahul Gandhi might take a lesson from his ex-ally Mamata Banerjee, who is famous of non-stop lecturing tirelessly for more than three hours in public meetings. Again the meeting should not be elongated for so long that the leaders start making silly comments. Whether it is Rahul’s remarks at Muzzaffarnagar or Modi’s remarks related to Shyama Prasad or Takshasila both have raised acrimonious debates. Both the leaders have become the faces for their respective parties and they should not indulge in any such acts that may malign their party image. Rahul Gandhi is often found to roll up his sleeves at the meeting, which have raised eyebrows of many. Narendra Modi’s aggressive attitude sometimes hurt the possible allies, which should be immediately restrained as nobody can predict the aftermath today. Narendra Modi should be constantly roaring against Pakistan as the Congress’s efforts for peace and harmony have come under the microscopic lenses of the concerned Indians. It is better to do a proper home work before each meeting. Rahul and Modi may take a lesson also from the Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar, who had always relied on rigorous practices and incredible home work before challenging his opponents. It might also happen that both lack adequate time for a solid home work as both have been rushing from...
