Let us leave asides the underlying principles of FDI in retail or Economic Reformations or even the decision of Subsidy withdrawal. We do not want to get into the rationale of such Governmental acts also. We can find an array of discords and harsh criticism all around. Our question remains, how many loud voices are backed up with in-depth knowledge in the concerned areas? Isn’t it true that most of us have started joining the fray notwithstanding the true impact of any of them? Mamata Banerjee has been constantly lashing out against the central Government on Twitter and Facebook. LK Advani and a few others are in desperation to build up a national forum by using their Blogs and other social media. Some of the intellectuals have started roaring in various channels and print media. Let us take a note of the contradictory attitudes. Mamata Banerjee has criticized the ceiling on cooking gas cylinders. Has she shown any indication to reduce the taxes for a sustainable number of cylinders, which she feels legitimate? We have seen many state Governments including Bihar announcing subsidies over and above the limits stipulated by the center. LK Advani has raised his voice against FDI in retail. How can he forget that the entire blueprint of FDI in retail had been initiated during the tenure of the BJP-led Government? It is really the irony of fate that this very Manmohan Singh the then leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha had shown resilience against the motion of FDI in retail. The intellectuals, who enjoy the blessings of political parties, should be completely ignored as they are bound to echo their aligned party slogans in disguise. We don’t want to doubt the knowledge of such esteemed people, but most of the commoners seriously lack knowledge and even the leaders of many processions can hardly analyze the impact. We don’t want to show audacity to undermine anybody’s knowledge as it is equivalent to intervening in their freedom. What we want to hoist is that most of the people do not have adequate knowledge to analyze and interpret such crucial decisions. The political parties take up such issues to earn political mileage, which is clearly understandable. So, Mamata Banerjee or LK Advani has to sharpen their sword against the Government but what happens to the commoners? It is better to narrate a sexual fantasy than to translate such cryptic issues to the spouse to be blasted with a mid night bonanza. Nevertheless, the information age has...

Education
Yes knowledge is power unleashed from within. It is like a well adorned fragrance that stands the possessor in good stead throughout life. Knowledge can be lectured, lent, distributed and even bartered for huge pay packets. In any case venturing into the arena of knowledge offers a repository of gains from all perspectives in the world around us. It is through this dimension only that espouses a confident self which can work relentlessly towards accomplishing self professed goals. It would be pragmatic to say that knowledge aids in rational appraisal of incidents. It invokes basing conclusions on solid facts without interference or wrong alignment. Hence an acrimonious debate raises its ugly head as to whether knowledge or wisdom is merely interchangeable? If not how are they dissimilar? It can only be comprehended by a mortal who is enriched with knowledge but may or may not have acquired wisdom Knowledge relates to the intellect where as wisdom relies one the knack to scent for the right option in life at cross roads whether hard or simple. Wisdom is cultivated through years put together becoming the crowning glory of intellectual beings having a lining of spiritualism to it. It is similar to the fact that both a typist and piano teacher bear the same mark upon their fingers but when dissected critically the subtle glow is only to be found on the music teacher’s visage. Then it is not knowledge that is omnipotent by it is a ladder to the higher pedestal of wisdom that is accumulated through the spiritual tempering of the soul. Academic components bring in a bountiful from all aspects of life which fall flat in sublime junctures of life like relationships. Raising children and associations with others are a diet for those who are wise. Time has left little unsaid about wisdom being supreme to succeed in life. Wisdom is all truly omnipotent as wielding it casts a magical spell on our lives that renders it a midas touch. It sheaths itself under the warehouse of knowledge. Real life experiences and our actions and counter reactions grant wisdom to seep through into our very beings filling up the void of ignorance within us that only knowledge cannot erase. However each is the co-efficient of the other and crucial for keeping us mentally tuned, agile and...

Education
Education is called the essence of knowledge. A child grows with formal and informal education. Formal education comes through various degrees and diplomas, whereas he gets the informal education from the society, parents, seniors and others. Even friends remain as the prime resource of informal education irrespective of its authenticity. People learn even from the environment in various ways. It may raise an acrimonious debate whether conventional education system through schools and colleges work as the proper media for knowledge enhancement. Kids are sent to schools in the elementary level, followed by colleges. It has become rather a system, which is followed everywhere. We can hardly expect another Rabindranath Tagore, who had shown guts to exhibit resilience against formal education through classroom teaching methodologies. Students certainly acquire knowledge through such system irrespective of their personal choices or likings. A real education comes from home or family, where he can find his elders including parents and he starts following, by default. He pretends to talk and behave like his seniors and the kid grows. Brushing asides controversies, today’s parents often fail to portray the right image of educated personalities in front of the kids. As a result, the kids are often found to be misguided and misbehaved. The kid also inherits a lot from his parents or grand parents. The influence of friends, teachers, family members and surroundings can never be ignored as they spend a lot of time of the day with them and a lot many illusive concepts also arise, at times. However, an able parental guidance helps to remove such illusions. Education, in its true sense comes into the picture during professional life. When one learns to look beyond the bookish concepts, he starts learning real applications and the associated problems. The razzmatazz of Information Technology demands constant knowledge enhancement through research and education and only sky remains the limit in such system. It’s obvious that an elderly person can easily identify the right education and knowledge, whereas the situation becomes tough for the juniors. Whatever the form may it be, education may be treated as the foundation pillar of knowledge that has to be gained continuously, perhaps through out the life...

Education
The rituals, beliefs and practices received by an individual as a part and parcel from their families, neighborhood and country as a whole form a part of their cultural. It gets imbibed into their system by default and can seldom be overridden in their lifetime. Simply put together if a family entails eating fish with pleasure as a part of their regular meals it happens to become a habit which is a part of their culture. Babies fed a diet of rajma-chawal-dahi in northern India are less prone to cough and cold and grow an in-built system of resistance. Celebrating a particular, festival, rituals during marriage and family get together for certain deity worship all flow in to the blood stream as heritage or culture. Just like genes being transmitted from parents to children these packages are innocuously transferred through years of living together. Knowledge is the pit that when filled with inputs from various sources like a standard system of compulsory education over a set period queries into the broken links in our cultural links. These inconsistencies are dragged out into the brought daylight through the enriched and enlightened mind that deters from following any practice blindly. Many a family drifts apart or comes across unbridgeable rifts between different generations in particular and any two individuals in general due to differences arisen out of following cultural practices. Logically humans are becoming more flexible and carefree to carry the burden of tradition on their shoulders. Even the British Royals are publicly displaying affection at the sports arena to express their feelings of joy upon their participant’s victory at the ongoing Olympics 2012. Barack Obama the president of the most powerful nation of the world took the cue a few days back to kiss his wife amongst cheers from the surrounding crowd as and when the camera focused on him after missing the first time. It is simply a way of life that all things change to become something strange and new with time and that all cultures are temporary in...

Internet
Knowledge brings freedom. The people of today’s generation has been able to earn knowledge through various open sources like books, magazines, TV shows and off course Internet. Whenever there is a need of information or knowledge, you have got the opportunity of browsing the internet and collect the necessary information. Whether it is about a shopping mall or a grammar syntax, the Internet has got plenty of websites that are ready enlighten us. The problem is that when such knowledge is used for vested interests or unethical purposes. The facebook has made the world very close whereby finding information about anybody has become quiet easy. There has been recent rape case in Kolkata, whereby the culprits have deliberately taken up the names of some others, who are seemingly faultless. Again, the victim has searched the Internet and tried to gather details of these people, which had been accidentally erroneous. The case is almost close and the culprits have been charged. Such an incident perhaps shows that the miss utilization of such mammoth information source can be utilized with an illicit motive and the result becomes dangerous. Now, the question comes, whether such sources should be used or they should be restricted. We wanna telling that there is no point of imposing any restriction on such media. Let the knowledge be spread. It is the people’s desire how to use them. Knowledge is like a sharpened sword that can create a bloodshed, if nurtured carelessly. Let the people learn that knowledge is essential but wrong usage can lead to formidable...
