India has started with a glorious victory in the T20 world cup against their arch rival Pakistan in Bangladesh. India being empowered with the brilliant captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and a spectacular spell of Amit Mishra has been able to clinch to the super duper win even before the final over. New Zealand cricketers snubbed India in the final and fifth ODI at Wellington to prove its supremacy against the Indian cricket team which has just lost its ICC ODI ranking no 1 in the world. The third ODI between India and New Zealand at Auckland had been taken to the rope and the match ended in a tie finally reliving Indians from another humiliation. New Zealand registered a target of 315 for Indians with a brilliant century of M. Guptil. K. Williamson also scored a solid 65. Shami and Jadeja took 2 wickets each. While defending the target, Indians showed a shabby start. Though Dhawan and Sharma could score a few runs, but the Indian top order failed to meet the level of expectation. The dismal performance of the Indian cricket team in the overseas continues as India has lost the first One Day International against New Zealand by 24 runs.
