India cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be one of the employees of India Cements who will be held responsible for his fraud statements if an inquiry is ordered into the cover-up of the Indian Premier League betting and fixing scandal. It has now become very apparent that since Dhoni had lied to the Mudgal probe panel investigating into the association of Gurunath Meiyappan with CSK in an official capacity he will be answerable. It is indeed very unfortunate that Dhoni forgot his standing of being a world renowned player while supporting false statements before the Mukul Mudgal headed probe panel appointed by the Supreme Court. Dhoni should have stood by the truth instead of giving in to statements that had been corroborated by Board of Control for Cricket in India chief N Srinivasan that son-in-law Meiyappan was a mere cricket enthusiast. Salve snatched the facade off the face of the Indian cricket team captain Dhoni’s lie for covering up Gurunath’s misdeeds in front of the supreme Court bench. This makes Dhoni a part of the corruption that has been a part and parcel of IPL. Slave further claimed that BCCI a disciplinary body should have questioned Dhoni’s statements instead of backing...

In a stunning move, the Supreme Court of India has announced some of the proposals regarding the current turmoil of BCCI over the IPL match fixing episode. Srinivasan should be kept aside during the investigation period and the legendary Indian batsman, Sunil Manohar Gavaskar, is to take over in the interim period. The two teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals should be eliminated from the upcoming IPL tournament. The Supreme Court also disapproves any position of BCCI by the stake holders of India Cements. It has been also revealed that Mahendra Singh Dhoni had deliberately fabricated in front of the Court appointed investigation committee. Supreme Court had already provided two days’ time for the BCCI president to step down, but Srinivasan paid no heed. Though these are just in the form of findings and proposals and BCCI will get a chance to defend today, but the Supreme Court has certainly created a whirlwind in Indian cricket. We need to wait for the final verdict, which is expected on Friday, March 28,...

A news report highlighting the initial talks between BCCI and Andi Flower, the retired England coach has raised acrimonious debates. Though Sanjay Patel has declined such episode, but the threat on Dhoni – Fletcher combination does not seem to come down. Rather, the BCCI Secretary had to express that such decision may be taken after the T-20 world cup cricket. However, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with his devastating track records in overseas ground has gone out of the squad for the coming Asian cup paving the way for Virat Kohli. If Kohli becomes successful as a captain, it may be seemingly difficult for comeback of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Shoni’s captaincy has come under the microscope and even the former captains of India have become vocal against Dhoni’s strategies in Test...

The Indian team will be led by Virat Kohli in the Asia cup in Bangladesh in February – March 2014 as Dhoni has to undergo rehab due to a grade I left side strain injury. It seems that the injury was sustained by the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the second test match against New Zealand in Wellington. It is only surprising that nothing was mentioned about the injury beforehand and it only came public after the India team arrived back in the country from the New Zealand tour after having suffered another crushing overseas series loss. Much is being seen into the fact as former captains and selectors have called for a change at the helm of Indian cricket. Anyway it is destiny that has paved the way for Virat Kohli who should now prove his worth to justify the leadership that has come his...

The Indian cricket firmament has a man, Mohinder Amarnath, calling for the Indian cricket captain M.S. Dhoni’s head due to the team’s terrible performance in tours overseas. 10 humiliating defeats and crushing losses in four consecutive tours against England, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand indeed pushes the topic to be considered for debate by the BCCI. The selectors have again been quite on the topic though many a former cricketer like Amarnath who belonged to the World Cup winning squad of 1983 have given the clarion call. The general feeling however remains that there is no alternative to Dhoni as of now and he definitely has the blessings of the BCCI president and ICC chairman designate N. Srinivasan in his favor. Amarnath however said that Virat Kohli should be the obvious choice as the defensive strategies of Dhoni are leading to defeats for the Indian cricket...
