Though senior party leaders of BJP L K Advani and Venkaiah Naidu have agreed to the proposal the final nod from Narendra Modi is still awaited. Naidu the Telegu Desam Party chief added that he wants to forge such an coalition as the urban parts of Andhra Pradesh are in the grips of a Modi wave which will be suitable for procuring seats and defeating their rivals. No support to Nitish: Stern decision of BJP

After an overwhelming result in the state level election at the fag end of 2013, BJP is geared up to take the battle into the next orbit. BJP has decided not to offer the excess vote to the candidates of Upper House, filed by the ruling party of Nitish Kumar. Though the current situation will not allow BJP to register more seats in the Rajya Sabha, but they do not want to waste even the additional votes of the party. Nitish Kumar will not be able to send his third candidate to the Rajya Sabha without the support of BJP. It should be recalled that Nitish Kumar had left the NDA alliance as BJP selected Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate. It is evident that BJP will not mind to confront challenges of the other parties as they have been enthusiast by the significant victory in the last elections. Though AAP has threatened to cut their destined vote shares in different parts of the country, they are desperate to elevate the party’s strength in the houses at the...

Uphill task ahead for BJP

It is still unraveled whether Congress will attempt to use the leaders like Arvind Kejriwal as anti-craft to combat the so called Modi wave, but the practice of unscrupulous use of one’s power and position has been clearly dumped by the electorates. Whether it is Delhi or Rajasthan, people’s mandate opposing such extortion has become evident. BJP has been found to be bubbling with enthusiasm with the triumphant victories in the state level elections, but the instances of Delhi and Rajasthan has sent the shock waves down the spine of the members of the various ruling parties in the country. It is worthy to mention that Mamata Banerjee could create her legitimacy using her own persona only after the development of utter frustration among the citizens because of unfair activities of the CPM cadres. Even BJP has to perforce go back to look at their election manifesto, else parties like AAP or leaders like Arvind Kejriwal may start rejoicing the plight of BJP as well. It is quiet unwise to measure the demands of the electorates with same yardstick, which has prevailed hitherto will be the act of nincompoop. When the people have shown guts to exhibit resilience against the pro-poor vote faces, they may go even one step ahead by demanding a corruption-free political firmament that might eliminate a lot of BJP leaders also. Everyone has been strongly opposing corruptions, but Anna Hazzare and Arvind Kejriwal have been able to give it a shape. The Indian political sojourn still bears several complexities and contradictions, which should be considered in totality. The people have been desperately looking for alternate leaders who carry a significant clean image. Rajasthan has set Vasundhara Raje Scindia as the electorates have been marred by several episodes of corruptions and grafts. Arvind Kejriwal has emerged with his successful leadership role that was able to raise the expectations of the common people. If we keep the entire Indian political world under the microscope, we will find that several regional parties have emerged because of the want of such dishonesty free leaders. Whether it is Tamil Nadu or West Bengal, peoples’ demands against corruption and unscrupulous usage of power have been echoed in the polling booths. The exuberant Jaylalitha or Mamata Banerjee would have to wait for decades without the eruption to strike out against the prevailing government with a vicious rage by the commoners. It is also to be noted that none of these states have ever cast their verdicts in favor of BJP, though it...

NDA under dynamic Modi is heading towards 200 landmark

CNN-IBN-THE WEEK pre-poll survey reports indicate that BJP may raise up to the landmark of 200 seats in the coming General Election 2014. This survey was conducted in 4 states, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. The latest survey awards 57 LS seats in favor of BJP, whereas Congress has to remain satisfied just only 12 in these four states, where the state level elections are scheduled soon. It should be noted that the July survey had awarded only 42 out of total 72 LS seats in these four states. The reasons for such a dramatic growth are yet to be unfolded, but it moves that the Modi wave has swelled into a roar and it is going to enhance its magnitude in the coming days unless a gross change is...
