KKR win match eleven with catch against RCB

The adage has always been with cricket that catches win matches. It was seen very candidly when KKR Chris Lynn caught on to a vital catch offered by AB de Villers just an inch within the boundary line. This lone moment separated the RCB from victory as KKR won the match on a wafer thin advantage. It had looked absolutely certain that RCB had the game sealed when KKR bowlers decided to snatch their advantage with tight death bowling and an outstanding instance of fielding. Lynn literally thwarted the chances of RCB winning as he held on to the ball heading out over the midwicket boundary while keeping within it.

Virat Kohli won the toss and asked KKR to bat first. Gautam Gambhir was out for the third time on a duck when trapped leg-before by Mitchell Starc. Manish Pandey failed with 5 and so veteran Jacques Kallis and young Chris Lynn build the KKR innings. The pair took KKR out of the blues aiding them to set up a respectable score of 150 to chase. Lynn made 45 invaluable runs off 31 balls in his maiden outing for KKR in IPL 7. Yusuf Pathan has seemingly lost his dangerous tag as he returned to the dugout without scoring. Then Kallis departed on 43 in the 16th over leaving KKR tottering on 107 for five. Robin Uthappa scoring 23 and Suryakumar Yadav 24 enabled KKR to get to 150 for seven rom20 overs.

For RCB pacer Varun Aaron was the pick with his 145 kph deliveries scalping three wickets for 16 runs in his four overs. The chase began very well after a few previous games as Parthiv Patel and Yogesh Takawale made 67 runs in 7.4 overs. Takawale was on his IPL debut took the game to the opponents with disdain with ample support from Patel. Skipper Kohli, 31 and Yuvraj Singh, 31 then added 55 runs for the third wicket. The last twist in the drama happened when RCB needed nine runs off the last over of Vinay Kumar for KKR. Then de Villiers struck a Vinay Kumar delivery to the midwicket fence to Chris Lynn who plucked the ball out of air inches from the ropes. RCB lost to KKR requiring four from the last ball which they could not garner granting KKR a fabulous two-run win. Lynn picked up the man of the match award for his 45 and the match of Pepsi IPL 7 as of now.
