Do Indians exhibit erosion of values?

It is often said that people of the modern world have lost all morale values and mainly it has become pertinent in the context of India, which has always been reckoned for its self esteem.

Is it a fact that the young generation has lost all its ethics and morale or is it just an insecurity complex for the conservative mind set?

The fact of life remains that even Indians have never tried to insulate themselves from the openness and western culture, which may create a churning inside the society.

The tiny dresses of girls may raise eyebrows of some snobby conservationist, but if a matured girl feels good by luring people to her inner looks, why should somebody try to chain her inside his own views?

Its said, as you sow, so you reap. If a newly married couple wants to kiss in an open forum, how does it affect the society at large? If a set of guys and girls enjoy the drinks together, how does it erode the social value?

In reality, when one tries to imitate some hero or heroins or even some culture, nothing is lost. The blind imitation may create problems at times. If a guy works for six days in a week from 10AM to 10 PM and he wants to splurge himself into the night club or a beer pub, he doesn’t loose anything, rather, the weekend break rejuvenates him. On the contrary, if a guy visits the pub on a daily basis and without earning a farthing, it affects everybody around him.

Its unwise to raise a hue and cry. The day has come, when we need to redefine the terms like ethics, morale, value under the changed life style of the ever changing socio-economic scenario.
