Janta Darbar or FDI in retail – AAP has become drastic

Being battered by most unwanted chaos in its first episode, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has been forced to stop any further Janta Darbar. In another drastic move, Arvind Kejriwal has also withdrawn the decision of allowing most controversial foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail. The decision of Janta Darbar and its sudden withdrawal has certainly given an overwhelming opportunity to the oppositions to criticize. It must be recalled that Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, has been successfully conducting Janta Darbar for quite some time. His decision about reversal of FDI from retail will certainly upset the investors, who have already expressed their anguish regarding economic viability of their investments in Delhi. The reduction of electricity costs had already raised eyebrows of the business magnets. Arvind Kejriwal, with his hasty decisions may show a pro-poor vote face to the electorates, but the state has to balance its economic parameters also.
