Indian cricketers lift U-19 Asia Cup

Vijay Zol the Indian captain for the U-19 team scored a century off 120 balls to defeat Pakistan and lift the Asia Cup. Sanju Samson also scored 100 runs off merely 87 deliveries as India etched a 40-run win in Sharjah.

India reached a total of 314 for eight in their allotted 50 overs. Pakistan in their fixed overs could manage only 274 for the loss of nine wickets which included a 100 from Kamran Ghulam.

India got off to a flying start scoring 65 runs in 6.4 overs itself. The Zol – Samson partnership won it for India in the end. Pakistani skipper Aslam and Kamran Ghulam were the only ones who put up a fight scoring 93 runs together to raise the Pakistani hopes.
