Corey Anderson brings the irony for Indian cricket

The dismal performance of the Indian cricket team in the overseas continues as India has lost the first One Day International against New Zealand by 24 runs. The only solace is perhaps that the Indians could fight and hardly succumbed to the pressure. Virat Kohli with his magnificent century raised the glimpses of hopes for the Indians. The skipper Dhoni had also batted well before an exemplary catch taken by their keeper, Luke Ronchi. Corey Anderson with his scintillating batting scored 68 off 40 and also claimed two wickets in the match. The excellent bowling spell of McClenaghan brought about a phenomenal change of the game and turned it completely to the Kiwis’ side. McClenaghan’s claimed 3 wickets only in 11 balls and India could not restore. The New Zealand has taken a lead of 1-0 in the five-match ODI series.
